The mode of action is physical (wetting, protection), not pharmacological. Filling covers single-dose (UDV) or multidose containers with preserved or preservative-free formulations, produced via qualified EU partners.

Regulatory classification
EU MDR — Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Hydration drops with physical action on the ocular surface: class IIa/IIb depending on duration of use, assessed per product. Sterility and endotoxin limits are part of the specification.
INOPREX develops, manufactures and takes on regulatory responsibility — in the role that fits your project. For medical devices we act as the legal manufacturer under EU MDR. For cosmetics and food supplements we either take on the role of the responsible person or the person placing the product on the market, or we manage development and production while your brand remains the market operator. Production runs together with leading contract manufacturers and fillers in the EU. White label uses established, documented formulations (MOQ from 10,000 units per SKU); private label develops an exclusive formulation to your briefing (MOQ project-dependent).
Frequently asked questions
Are hyaluronic eye drops medical devices?
Hydration drops with a physical wetting function are medical devices under EU MDR. As soon as a pharmacological, immunological or metabolic effect is claimed, it would be a medicinal product — which we do not cover.
Why is sterile filling complex?
Eye drops must be sterile; filling takes place under aseptic conditions with validated processes. Selecting qualified filling partners with the right cleanroom class is part of our network.
